Polarsmolt AS was established in 2020 and is part of the Isqueen Group. Our two facilities are located in Vågan municipality, in Lofoten. Since its inception, Polarsmolt has been a company in continuous growth and development.

We are an approved company for apprentices and have been GlobalG.A.P. certified since 2023.

Brenna

The facility was built in the 80s and is regularly upgraded to meet today’s industry standards.

  • Production of 500,000 to 1,000,000 smolts from 100 to 200 grams.

  • Brenna performs flow-through with heating of water for the hatchery and starter feeding.

Framnes

The facility was built in the 80s, and is continuously being expanded and improved.

  • Production of 1,600,000 smolt from 100gr to 1000gr.
  • Combines throughput, reuse and RAS.
  • Works with expansion of facilities for the production of more large smolt.
  • 10 employees + 1 apprentice
